Welcoming a new baby into the world is an exciting thing for all expectant moms.  Traditionally someone has a baby shower in order to do this and to honor the new mom. Of course baby shower games are a staple for almost all baby showers so here are some free ones for you to choose from.  These free baby shower games are a lot of fun and they also serve as ice breakers.  These simple games are fun and don't require you to do a lot of preparation ahead of time.

1. Animal Babies

Read off different animals and have your guests name what the babies are called.  Be sure everyone has something to write with and on. Example: Dog-Puppy, Whale-Calf, Lion-Cub, Monkey-Infant, Giraffe-Calf, Donkey-Foal, Swan-Cygnet, Goose-Gosling, Goat-Kid, Fish-Fry. 2. Famous Sibling Game This game is especially fun if the mom already has children.  See who can name all of the brothers and/or sisters. Examples: Brady Bunch, The Baldwin Brothers, Different Strokes, The Weasley's (from Harry Potter), Waltons, Full House, My Wife and Kids, Cosby Show, Kate plus Eight, Etc.

3. Baby Shower Memory Game

This game is going to require you to do some deception. You are going to announce that this next baby shower game is going to depend on their observation skills. Then have a non guest come into the room with a container of items that you have previously gathered.  This person will slowly go around the room giving each guest 30 seconds to look at the items.  After they leave the room you will ask ten questions but it will be on the person that you had asked to carry the container of items around on.  Examples: Was she wearing a watch, What color are her eyes, Did her blouse have pockets, Were here nails manicured, Etc.

4. How Big is Baby Game

Bring a roll of paper towels pass it around and have the guests tear off exactly how much they think will go around the expectant mother. Whoever's strip of paper towels is the closest wins.

5. Cartoon Baby Shower Game

Name off cartoon characters and see if they can name the cartoon they are on. Example Wendy - Patrick - Spongebob, Swiper - Dora the Explorer, Bubbles - Power Puff Girls, Lenny - Wonderpets, Candice - Phineas and Ferb, Fred - Scooby Doo, Chuckie - Rugrats, Jughead - Archies, etc.

6. Diaper Doo Doo Game

Take 6 disposable diapers and put a different kind of candybar (1/2 a bar will usually do) in each of them and let them sit somewhere very warm where they melt quite a bit. Mark them 1 through 6. Pass the "dirty diapers" around and the winner is the one who can correctly guess which type of candybar was melted into the diaper. Some candybars that work well are Milky Way, Snickers, Mounds, Baby Ruth, Mr. Goodbar, Almond Joy, Hershey's, and Reeses.
