Baby shower games are an important part of any baby shower. They break the ice and they are a lot of fun. Here are a few free game ideas you can try at your next shower. These are simple, but fun, baby shower games that don't require a lot of preparation and supplies.

1. Baby Animal Game

Give everyone paper and pens then read off different animals and see if they write down what the babies are called. Example: Cat-Kitten, Whale-Calf, Lion-Cub, Monkey-Infant, Giraffe-Calf, Donkey-Foal, Swan-Cygnet, Sheep-Lamb, Goat-Kid, Fish-Fry.

2. Television Sibling Game

You can ask them to write down the siblings of popular television series as you read the name of the television show. Examples: Brady Bunch, Eight is Enough, Rugrats, Different Strokes, Little House on the Prairie, Waltons, Partridge Family, 7th Heaven, Cosby Show, Etc.

3. Baby Shower Memory Game

Tell everyone the next game is going to test their powers of observation and memory. Have someone walk in a room holding a box full of items you have put together. Ask this person to go around the room slowly giving each person a chance to observe for 30 seconds. Then ask this person to leave the room. Now ask 10 questions about the person carrying the box. Examples: Was she wearing a watch, What color are her eyes, Did her shirt have pockets, Were here nails painted, Etc.

4. How Big is Baby Game

Bring a roll of toilet paper pass it around and have everyone tear off the exact amount that they think will go around the expectant mother. Whoevers length of toilet paper is the closest wins of course.

5. Cartoon Baby Shower Game

Name off cartoon characters and see if they can name the cartoon they are on. Example Wendy - Bob The Builder, Swiper - Dora the Explorer, Dipsy - TeleTubbies, Daphne - Scooby Doo, Angelica - Rugrats, Jughead - Archies, etc.

6. Diaper Doo Doo Game

Take 6 disposable diapers and put a different kind of candybar (1/2 a bar will usually do) in each one and let them sit in the sun or a warm place to melt. Label them 1 through 6. Pass the "dirty diapers" around and the winner is the one who can identify the most correctly. Some candybars that work well are Milky Way, Snickers, Baby Ruth, Mars, Kit Kat, Hershey's, and Reeses.
