While some of these remedies may alleviate the discomfort that accompanies pregnancy please always check with your doctor first. Prenatal care is a very important part of every pregnancy.

Heartburn

Eat smaller more frequent meals and try not to lay down for at least an hour after eating. It may help to drink milk and avoid spicy as well as greasy foods.

Nausea (Morning Sickness)

Morning sickness can occur at any time of day, and while it is more frequent in the earlier stages, it can last throughout the pregnancy. Try to get out of bed slowly and take deep breaths. Ginger tea may help as well as daily walks and relaxation exercises.

Leg Cramps

Think toes to the nose, point your toes up and toward your nose. Make sure you are getting enough calcium and potassium. Exercise regularly.

Stretch Marks

Stretch marks cannot be avoided. Your best bet is to eat healthy and drink plenty of liquids, healthy skin is more elastic. If you experience itching be sure and use a cream to moisturize the area.

Back Aches

A back ache can be miserable try to prevent them by lifting properly and using good posture. You may want to stretch and exercise daily (swimming is especially helpful) as well as supporting your back and legs with pillows while you sleep. Once you have a back ache massage and a heating pad can help alleviate the pain.
