Getting my home ready for the new baby

I don't want to forget anything and I want to be ahead of the game and have my house baby proofed before I give birth.
I am doing things that I know won't be necessary yet but I want to make sure they are in place well ahead of time. I have the little plastic things that go in all the electrical outlets. I have locks on drawers and cupboards that contain any cleaners and chemicals.
I don't have any stairs so I don't need to worry about a gate for them. No pets to worry about. What else should I be doing?
Make sure all curtain and blind cords are fitted with safety tassels. Better to do it now than worry about it or forget.
Not really baby proofing but make sure your crib has a seal of certification so you know it is up to standards and safe, make sure you have a firm mattress, when you put the bumper pads on your crib make sure the ties are on the outside and cut off any that are over 6 inches long.
Don't put pillows, animals, toys, or even blankets in the crib with your baby. If you have a mobile on your crib be sure and take it down before there is a chance your baby could pull it in with them.
Don't put the crib next to a window, and always put the side up on the crib as soon as you put the baby in it.
It only takes a second for them to fall or roll out.
Get a toilet seat lock so they can't accidently fall in. Babies can drown that way. I took it a step further and put up a baby gate into the bathroom, so my daughter couldn't even go in there unless I took her or took down the gate.
Make sure all your medicines are out of reach AND are in childproof bottles.
