Just a tip for new mothers out there. I recently took my son for a week visit at my parents. I packed so much stuff that was just not important once I got there. I don't know why I thought I neede every piece of baby "equipment" that we had. We didn't even use half of it. Make sure you take what you need to keep them safe and happy but look at everything and decide what you really really need for however long you are gone.
When I pulled up my dad looked at the van in disbelief, he jokingly asked if we were moving in permanently.
So true I hauled a high chair and a baby swing. My daughter was always on someone's lap to eat and there was always someone to rock her so no need for a swing
