Diaper Rash

Sassoo (Guest) Said,

I have found Desitin does well when my baby gets diaper rash but what can I do to help prevent her from getting it in the first place.

beni492 (Guest) Said,

Make sure your baby is completely dry before you put the new diaper on. Also A & D Ointment is good if the baby is just a little red but doesn't actually have a diaper rash.

TLM (Guest) Said,

Make sure your baby is getting changed enough or the diapers you are using are keeping the moisture away from your babies skin.

You might consider a different brand of diaper, or if you are using cloth to switch to disposable.

LUCY (Guest) Said,

The key to preventing diaper rash : every day after you baby has had a full diaper and you are confident there is not more right around the corner, just put a clean diaper under his/her butt. This will keep the air to the bottom. The key is air flow. You will not need cream or ointment if you try this before and/or after rash comes.
