It seems like my kids get ear infections quite a bit. They are 2, 4, and 5. Is there something I can be doing to help prevent them?
If your children are around smoke that can cause ear infections, I also have my childen tilt their heads after having a bath to make sure they are not getting water in their ears and not getting it out.
One thing you need to do is to take your children back to the doctor to make sure the ear infection is completely gone. Sometimes it may take two doses of medicine or a different antibiotic altogether to get it completely cleared up.
We found out that with my son and he does not have near as many infections now. Actually I think he probably gets the same (one or two a year) but since we are getting them cured the 1st time he doesn't have the recurring ear infections like he used to.
