Daycare Tips
Brenda Said, I am nervous about going back to work and leaving my daughter at a daycare center. I want to make sure I choose a good one. Any experienced parents got any tips for me?
Stevie Said, Ask everyone you know what daycare they use, that they recommend, and which ones they think you should stay away from.
allie Said, Pop in for a visit to observe sometime. See what it is like.
Benji Said, Before you actually have to go to work test out your best choices. Take your child for a few hours to each one and then compare to find the best.
Eddie Said, I will recommend you stay at home if you can, and enjoy them while they are young, before you know it they will be bringing your grandchildren over to visit. That’s when you can put your energy into work, at that time your kids will be off doing their own thing, and you’ll need something to occupy your time. If you are unable to afford to stay at home, I hope you can find a family member to care for you child. My daughters share babysitting for each other, one works days, the other works nights, and my wife fills in a couple hours gap between the shifts for their commuting time. The grandchildren were in daycares for a couple of months or so, and it was terrible, the kids were getting sick and they didn’t like being there. I’m glad it’s all working out for our family and I wish you and your daughter the best, regardless of the choice you make.
