Okay I get you should not bask in the sun for hours every day but I like having a little tan. Isn't there a happy medium where you can look healthy with some natural color but not risk skin cancer?
I would think it would be like most things, okay in moderation. You usually still get some tan even when you use sun screen. It is just not possible to use sun screen every time you go outside. But hey the benefit of not getting the cool tan every summer will pay off as we get older, less wrinkles.

Summer is the time of year people like to be tan. Some will spend hours baking in the sun to achieve that bronzed look, others will go to tanning salons; but both methods can be harmful to your health.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, 90 percent of the 1 million plus new cases of skin cancer diagnosed this year will be traced to ultraviolet light (UV) exposure; and cancer isn't the only illness people who spend a lot of time in the sun or on tanning beds can get. Overexposure to harmful UV rays can also cause cataracts, immune system changes, wrinkles, and premature aging of the skin.

As you probably know, sunless tanning lotion has been around for years. Back when these lotions were young sunless tanners were limited to just a products offering very little color variety.
