I don't like all those scents that seem to come along with baby soap these days. Can I make some kind of mild soap to use for my little one? (3 months).
I agree and would be interested as well. You can't seem to find fragrance free stuff as easily as I would like.
When it comes to taking care of your skin you can't be too careful. You of course want to wash your face but you want to make sure you do it gently to help to keep it looking great.
Rose Petal Soaps are wonderful for the bathroom or to keep by the kitchen sink. Just wash your hands with one, then throw it away. And they are very easy to make.
Soap is the oldest cleanser around. It is created by a chemical reaction between oils, water and lye. Although lye is used to make soap there is no lye left after saponification (the chemical reaction that makes soap) is complete. There is no such thing as a bar of soap that was made without the use of lye. Different kinds of soap are made using a variety of different oils. Both animal & plant oils can be used in the soap making process, each adding different qualities to the soap.
I love to make homemade shower gel for friends and family.
I usually add it to a bath gift basket with the recipe attached so they can make their own when what I gave them runs out.
Have fun and experiment with different fragrances and decorative bottles you can put the shower gel in.
