Here are some simple yet tasty camping recipes to consider making on your next camping trip.

1. Toast some english muffins before your trip, cut them in half and place them in a ziplock bag. When your ready to eat get them out place some ham and a slice of cheese between two slices, wrap them in aluminum foil and heat through.

2. Core some apples (try not to go all the way through the bottom), place red hots in the center with a tablespoon of butter, wrap with aluminum foil and cook apples till soft. (Don't forget to turn them)

3. Cut up 3 or 4 slices of bacon and fry in pan or pot. Add 2 cans of green beans and 1 can of stewed tomatoes and heat through. Great compliment to fish.

4. Pan fry your favorite fish by moistening the filets in water and rolling in sour cream and onion potato chips (crumbled). You can then fry without any grease as most potato chips are greasy enough without it. About 15 minutes or so, fish should flake.

5. You can prepare these shrimp kabobs for a special treat. Place cooked, peeled shrimp and a piece of canned pineapple together and wrap with bacon. May need to use a toothpick to hold together. Then place several on skewers and cook till bacon is crisp.

6. Casserole on a campfire! Take 1 pound of hamburger and place on a large piece of aluminum foil, add a bag of frozen vegetables, 2 tablespoons of butter, top with seasonings. Then wrap it up with small holes poked in the foil on top (not to many) for ventilation. Cooks about 1 hour until meat is done. (You can poke holes in the bottom of the foil to drain the grease in your hamburger is not lean.)

7. Simple dutch oven cake recipe. Grease your dutch oven and add 2 16 oz cans of fruit filling, a box of cake mix, 1 stick of butter (in pieces), and 1 cup of water. No need to mix just bury in charcoal with a few on top, should be done in about 50 minutes. Peach filling with a white cake mix is superb.
