My best friend had tucked in a little note with her card that said as soon as we were back from the honeymoon we would get together and she would help me to get organized and to get my thank you's all out.
We had so much fun while we did it and while I wrote them all out she did the addressing and helped me keep organized on who gave me what.

When I have a friend down in the dumps I like to give them a little something that pampers and keeps their mind of it for awhile. Usually either a new movie, book, or a puzzle book depending on their interests. I wrap it up with some gourmet coffee or hot chocolate and hope they can at least put their troubles aside for an hour or two.

My mom was in on it and helped with the planning but he flew my sister in for a week and the first day he treated us both to a certificate pedicures, manicures, and a nice lunch. We got to totally catch up and spend some quality alone time together.

I gave her a hand made gift certificate for pet sitting. They like to go on weekend jaunts once in awhile and are always scrambling to get the dogs to a kennel. I told them I would be glad to keep them at my house.
If you can't keep them at your own house you could always go care for them and spend some time with them while the owners are away.

The company I work for does business in lots of different countries and I thought it would be fun to make up some gift baskets for a company give away that was centered around them. I need to do lots and I am looking for suggestions of what country would appeal to people to get baskets filled with food from. And maybe if they have a particular food item that the country is known for that would be good for a basket.
