So here it is Valentine's Day again and either you can't think of the perfect gift for your sweetheart or else you can but can't afford it. So what are you suppose to do?

You are suppose to put a little time and thought into it and write a love letter that's what!

Many of you say a love letter, I can't do that because I wouldn't know what to say. Well it really isn't that hard if you are giving it to someone you really care about. Here are a few tips to get you started and before you know it you will have come up with a very romantic gift for your sweetheart. I can tell you that statistically girls will be more impressed to receive one than the guys, and girls are more likely to send one than guys. Go figure.

1. Take some time to think about the other person. When you think of this person what thoughts run through your mind? How do you feel when you get to spend time with this person? How has your life become better by knowing this person? How would you feel if this person were no longer in your life? etc...

2. Think back to some of the times you have spent together as a couple. Why were the memorable ones memorable? What were you feeling at the time? What attracted you to this person initially and what attracts you to this person now?

3. Next where do you want the relationship to go from where you are as a couple now? Maybe forever isn't part of the equation yet and that is okay.

4. What do you admire in your sweetheart?

5. Know that you kind of get the idea on where to start and just make the letter your own. It doesn't have to rhyme or be a major literary work it just has to come from the heart.

6. Write your letter by hand, a typewritten copy just isn't the same.

7. Once you have written your letter think a bit on how you want to present it. Handing the letter to someone as they are carrying in the groceries or taking care of two screaming kids is not ideal.
