I can remember my mom making these chocolate crinkle cookies growing up and I could hardly wait for them to get baked because they tasted so good with a glass of milk. They are chocolaty but not too chocolaty if you know what I mean, I guess you will have to make them yourself to see how good they really are.
How To Make:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening
1 2/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs (beaten)
2 - 1 ounce squares of baking chocolate (melted)
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
Start off by thoroughly creaming your shortening, sugar, and vanilla. Then add your eggs and melted chocolate squares and set aside for a minute. In another bowl sift your flour, baking powder, and salt together and alternately add it to your cookie dough with the milk. At the end add your walnuts then cover it and chill for at least 3 hours.
After the cookie dough has chilled form one inch balls and roll them in powdered sugar. Cook them for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees on a greased cookie sheet. Enjoy, and wish you had made a double batch.
