I suppose you could call this a casserole but with its spicy ingredients it isn't what I normally think of when it comes to casseroles. You can make this as spicy as you like it by varying between mild and hot salsa and peppers. This recipe is a favorite for our family get togethers and we all enjoy it a lot.
How To Make:
Ingredients:
16 ounce can of refried beans
1 pound of lean hamburger
1 medium onion
1 8 ounce jar of salsa
1/2 pound of grated Monterey Jack cheese
Directions
Spread beans in bottom of casserole pan (I use a 10 x 13 glass pan). Cook hamburger, onions, and green chilies. Drain and spread over refried beans. Top with cheese and salsa.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Serve with tortilla chips and/or warm tortillas.
