Low fat desserts?

Ella (Guest) Said,

Looking to cut the fat intake of my family and some calories too. I need some sweet treats I can serve my family that will not make them question if it is one of mom's "healthy diet desserts".

Meomy (Guest) Said,

Here is a brownie recipe I make that my family doesn't have a clue that it is healthier than the ones I used to make.

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
4 ounces jar of prune baby food
3 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup walnuts (sometimes I add them sometimes I don't)

Mix everything together, spray an 8 x 8 pan with cooking spray and bake it for 30 minutes at 350.

I have 2 apples, 3 books, and 2 birds. How many birds do I have?

Fried ApplesFried apples, or often refered as hot apples, happens to be one of my favorite desserts to make. My wife loves them and my kids go crazy over them. I especially like to make fried apples simply because they are quick to make, the kids can help, and the cleanup is a snap.

There are many different things you can do with fried apples and I have included a few ideas below. However, this recipe it is designed to be a simple dessert treat.

Everyone looks forward to the pie in our family come Thanksgiving time, and it is always my mom's pecan pies that seem to disappear the quickest. My grandma used to make these when I was younger, I even remember her making them without the pecans for my brother because at that time he didn't like the pecans!! I try to remind him of that at family dinners but he just tells me things change as he goes for his second slice.

I love to make homemade apple pie but unless I buy ready made pie crusts the crusts don't seem to turn out right. We have an apple tree so I have tons of apples in the freezer but not always a pie crust. Can someone help me to learn how to make a good crust that turns out at least most of the time?

I have been to bake sales and gotten these brownies before and they are delicious. I even ask for the recipe sometimes but the people working are never the ones that made that particular recipe. I would love to make them at home because I know they have to taste even better warm from the oven!!
