This fruity salad recipe is great for family get-togethers. This recipe for frog eye salad makes a lot of salad, so be sure you have a big bowl. My recipe makes quite a bit so I love to take it to family gatherings. It is slightly sweet and fruity so it makes a nice addition to summer barbecues as well. You do need to start in the night before so keep that in mind if you are planning to make this salad. It really isn't that hard to make you just have to do it in a couple of steps. But the taste is worth the wait!
Fried apples, or often refered as hot apples, happens to be one of my favorite desserts to make. My wife loves them and my kids go crazy over them. I especially like to make fried apples simply because they are quick to make, the kids can help, and the cleanup is a snap.
There are many different things you can do with fried apples and I have included a few ideas below. However, this recipe it is designed to be a simple dessert treat.
Monster cookies are a favorite around our house and they don't seem to last long. There is nothing like a mug of cold milk and a few cookies to dip into it for a great bedtime snack. They take a few minutes longer to mix up because there are so many ingredients and you need a really big container to mix them in but they are worth the extra effort.
I love fruit salad of almost any kind because I like fruit. Someone shared this recipe with me and I thought this is a little unusual with the lime in it. Maybe I am the only one that hadn't ever tasted a fruit salad made like this and if so I have really been missing out at all the potlucks.
There is no need to use a box cake mix even when you are in a hurry. This pineapple cake recipe takes minutes to stir up and the results are fantastic. You will be keeping some crushed pineapple on hand so you can make this cake whenever the need or want arises. The pineapple cake icing is super easy too.
A wonderful hearty flavorful meal that is perfect for those snowy or rainy days. Tastes like you spent all day when really it takes hardly anytime at all to mix together. You will find your family wandering into the kitchen to see when dinner is ready when they smell taco soup on the stove.
You know those gooey, tasty cinnamon rolls you get at the bakery? You can make them yourself at less than 1/4 of the cost and they taste better anyway. You won't believe how quick and easy they really are to make.
Okay, I cheat a bit nowadays and don't make my own sweet roll dough anymore. I have moved on and use loaves of frozen bread dough instead. I really don't notice a taste difference and for me time is a big factor.
We are always wanting something to snack on at our house while we are playing games or watching a movie. I find that I get a lot of help with supper clean up if I announce I am thinking of making cinnamon pecans. Everyone pitches in so I can get started making them, after all the sooner they are done the sooner the tasty pecans can be eaten.
I came across this pretzel cookie recipe awhile back and finally decided to make them. I loved the way they turned out. They had some texture but were soft at the same time. We really enjoyed the taste that the pretzels added to the recipe. Several people tried them and liked them but none of them were able to identify that it was pretzels that were added to the chocolate chip recipe.
What I really liked about this recipe is the cookies tasted good not only freshly baked but a few days later as well. I find some cookies don't taste nearly as well two or three days later but this is not one of those recipes.
