Verbenas and Wintering

I would love to save my verbenas for next year, especially when some bloom so colorful. Is it very hard to keep them alive potting them for the winter and replanting them in the spring? Any special care?

I have never brought mine in for the winter I just cut them way back late fall and they come up the next year. But I guess I had never thought about bringing any in for the winter.

I also have some verbena plants that are just annuals, I often place a few here and there in my flower garden.
