I wanted to try growing some cherry trees from seeds. I saved some from fruit I bought at the store. Can I use them or do I need to buy seeds from somewhere? Also what do I need to do to get them to start growing and care for them? Any advice would be helpful thx in advance.
I would probably go to a local gardening store or nursery and ask them. You want to make sure you plant the right type of cherry tree for your climate. It would be awful to go to all the work to grow a tree and have it not produce!!
You might actually be better off shelling out 20 bucks for a small tree. I would think that would give you a couple years headstart and getting some cherries off of it.
Bill, the problem with is answer is simple: You didn't have an answer, therefore should not even have posted. There are SOME of us who would really like to have known the answer to that, like me. I've saved cherry pits myself and have searched for answers to find out IF and HOW they are to be propagated and cared for.
