I say that cantaloupes are just another name for muskmelons but my husband says there is a difference, he can't tell me the difference though. Can anyone settle the difference of opinion for us?
No difference between cantaloupe and muskmelon.
I disagree, I think cantaloupes are actually a tropical fruit that isn't grown in the U.S. I think what we in the united states have is muskmelon only.
I agree that here in the U. S. what we call canteloupes are actually muskmelons (aka Mushmelons)
You would find real cantaloupes in Brazil.

I would love to be able to grow watermelons that are seedless but I can't seem to find any watermelon varieties that say they don't have seeds. Anyone know anything about this?

It doesn't seem like my honeydew melons ripen any more after I pick them, is this true for all types of melon or just honeydews?

Is there anyone here that grows a lot of muskmelon and can tell me if I would be happier planting Ambrosia, Earli-Dew, or Alaska?

I have looked around and the varieties Sugar Baby and Crimson Sweet appeal to me but I would love to hear others thoughts on the subject. Maybe there is another variety out there that is better and easier to grow.
