My neighbor told me to cut an orange in half and stick it on a branch in the tree to attract orioles, will this really work?
Yes Orioles love berries and they will also eat an orange if you put it out. I usually put mine out in 1/4's instead of 1/2's though.
I don't know about orioles and oranges but they go nuts for grapes!! We have some over an arbor and they enjoy them immensely.
We found out by accident that they like grapes. We had left some on a plate on the picnic table and the orioles had them gone in no time.

I have a whole bird farm going on in my back yard and would like to know if I need to put oranges away from the other feeders, or does that matter.
Thanks

If you enjoy watching orioles and have some in your backyard a fun thing you can do is put out short pieces of white string and watch them pick it up and take it to their nest.
