We started a few years ago to bring a hummingbird feeder with us when we camped. It is fun to see if you can attract the hummingbirds to your campsite. Make sure you take one that has some bright red on it to help attract them.

For all you newbies if you use honey in your feeders you can give your hummingbirds bacterial and fungal diseases. Just stick with sugar and water.

I have always used 1 cups of sugar to 4 cups of water when I mix up my nectar for the hummingbirds. Is this too sweet and not good for the birds? I am sure I read somewhere that this was how to attract them.
