When I try to deadhead petunias, I never know if I should be taking off just the dead flower, or pinching off the stem part that it grew on. Could somebody please tell me what to do? Thank you.

I need to know do the striped petunias need to be pinched back to keep them blooming and to prevent them from going to seeds?

After the daffodil flowers bloom, then the yellow flower falls off leaving only the stem, do you cut them back? If so, how far down to the ground? If not, should you do anything to whatever is left?

I just purchased some petunias at a craft show and they are in small containers and I have put four of the containers in a larger containers. Will they last through the winter? If you think so, how do I tend to them?

my zinnias were so nice, that I pulled some of the plants and potted them. They are growing and blooming on my enclosed porch now, but how can I save them to re-plant in my flower beds next year?

Will Marigolds bloom again the next year if you leave them alone or do they have to be replanted each year?

Hello,
I planted Wave Petunias this spring and love them. I would love to get info on how to save the seeds to start them next spring indoors. I know I could just go and buy them like I did this spring, but its not the same. Besides it gives me something to do around Feb.
Thank you...Bob

I planted pansies in pots on my balcony. They were loaded with blooms and buds when I bought them. I have either cut off the flowers, or pinched them off, but I have no new blooms, just wonderful, healthy green! They do get about 6 hours of sunlight a day, and they are in a "self watering" pot, so I know they aren't going dry.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thank you.

I was reading about planting my roses and it mentioned that it is important to have the bud union placed at the right depth. I live in the midwest and it does get cold so does this mean I should plant the rose's bud union deeper in the soil?
