Maybe my memories are deceiving me but I seem to remember being able to smell my mother's roses much more so than I can from my own rose garden. I have no idea what kind of roses my mother had, is there some varieties that have a stronger rose smell than others? Or have my memories gotten away from me?

My friend had tried growing some miniature roses in her home and they got a fungal disease. I think we figured out it was because she did not use a soilless mix to plant them in. Is there a better soilless mix to use that roses grow will in, or does she even need to use this and can use regular soil instead?

Just in case there are any newbies out there like me, I am learning though, you have to be careful and not get your roses all wet when you are watering. As I found out you can get spores and fungal infections and all kinds of problems. I USED to water my roses with a sprinkler in the evenings but no more.

I am really unsure how to prune my roses. I have helped my dad prune them but have never done it myself and just kind of followed his directions before when we were pruning the roses. I need to do it on my own this year and am a little nervous about what exactly to do and why.

Okay guys and gals help me out here, some of my rose plants have leaves that are covered with black spots. What is the best thing to do, and what went wrong?

This beautiful rose bush grows in a backyard near me and they are going to level the home later this summer. I would love to take a cutting or whatever you do of this rose bush and plant it (or more than one) in my own backyard. I have permission to do what I want with the roses that are there, but I have to do it in the next couple of months. Any help out there for me from a rose expert?

I have seen a lot of geraniums and I see mainly red, pink, salmon, and white. Can you find geraniums that come in orages and purples?

Has anyone ever heard of digging up geraniums before winter and then storing them in a root cellar without potting them or anything? I read somewhere about it and can't remember where and I wondered if this would truly work and it wouldn't kill the geraniums.
