I believe my husband burned some trimmed branches to close to our pear tree. Some of the leaves curled up. That was about four years ago. The tree looks fine. It just does not flower. What do I need to do to get it to flower?

A friend had some really delicious and large pears that grew in her yard. She does not know the variety as they were planted before she moved there. I would like to know how to start a tree from the one seed I managed to pull out of the pear she gave me.

I guess I never really thought about it before, I have never seen a pear tree and wondered where exactly in the U.S. the climate was right for growing pears. It kind of sounds like fun.

Does anyone know what other variety of pear tree I would also have to plant in order for my Concorde variety of pear tree to pollinate?

I don't really know what to do, I have never cared for a fruit tree of any kind before let alone what I think is a newer variety like the Dwarf Pyramid Pear. The previous owners commented that they will miss the pears. Any advice?

How do I be careful so my pear trees don't catch the disease fireblight?
