Gas Stove or Electric Stove

I would really appreciate cooks sharing their experiences with me and preferences when it comes to either gas or electric ranges and cooktops for cooking. All opinions will be very appreciated.

I have had both in the past and I really did not have a problem with either one. I am not sure which one I would choose if I had the option.
