We are looking at making an offer on a house but it has an induction cooktop and I am not familiar with it. It was a selling point in the kitchen so I am thinking it is good what do you all think?
I would love an induction cooktop, they are really really nice. Pretty expensive I think as well.
I think you will enjoy cooking on it, the cooktop itself doesn't get hot. But when you set your pots and pans on it they do, it has something to do with magnetic fields. I don't know the technical way it works.
The only thing you may want to be aware of is you have to use iron pots and pans or stainless steel pans with an iron or alloy base. Basically if a magnet sticks to them they should work.
I really think you will like cooking on the cooktop though, even if you have to get some new cookware. Good luck on your new house!
