I can't see why anyone would choose garnite countertops over quartz. I guess they are actually called engineered quartz but who cares really. This surface seems way superior to me when it comes to counters, especially in the kitchen.

Some people like granite and that is fine. But I do agree the quartz countertops that have became available in the last couple of years are great. A real pro is that although they cost roughly the same as natural stone you don't have all the maintenance costs and efforts.
I too am sold on quartz countertops, I wondered if anyone has any opinion whether DuPont, Zodiac, or Silestone are better than any other.
