It really concerned me when my dog Meisha was diagnosed with diabetes last year, I didn't know what all it entailed and if I would be able to handle it.
About a year ago I took my then 10 year old dog Meisha in for her annual check up. She had lost a bit of weight which I though was good since last year the vet had said she needed to lose a few pounds. He questioned me on the weight loss and I told him we were being more careful with table scraps and working on getting her more exercise.

I am thinking very seriously about getting my daughter a kitten. It will almost always be in the house unless we are outside with it. Should I have it declawed or not? And when do you make that decision, is it better for them to have it done as a kitten or later as an older cat.

My vet has just said I am going to need to start giving my dog insulin shots twice a day. I am a little intimidated here, how hard is this anyway?
