Storybook Island in Rapid City South Dakota

We were just ending our vacation in the Black Hills and wanted to find a park where the kids could burn off some energy. We saw something about Storybook Island and decided to go there.

It was so nice. A lot of playground equipment for the kids to play on, and a lot of it was on theme to familiar storybooks. They had characters walking around and giving performances too.

My husband and I enjoyed it just as much as they did. I couldn't get over how pretty and nice the park was and wished we had something like it back home.

A side trip to let the kids run turned out to be a great sight seeing attraction, and best of all it was free.
