We enjoyed our whole trip through the St. Louis Zoo but my kids (even my bug hating daughter) were really taken with the insectarium.
We spent a lot of time there learning about, of all things, bugs. It gives bug eye view a whole different meaning.
So next time you are in St. Louis and going to hit the zoo be sure to save some extra time for the insectarium, I was glad we had plenty of time for the children to really enjoy it.

We stopped in Hannibal on our vacation to Missouri and really enjoyed the stop. It was fun seeing things that we had read about in Mark Twain's books.
The kids especially enjoyed Mark Twain Cave it really brought Tom Sawyer to life for them. Seeing things they had read about was fascinating for them.
One tip take a jacket and don't wear shorts when you tour the cave, it is a bit chilly but worth it.

We had friends that had been to the Dixie Stampede in Branson before and they said you have to go and I am so glad we did. First off the food was great and it was so fun the way they served it to you.
But the show was unbelievable we saw the North and South battle it out (friendlier than before), trick riders, buffaloes, and it was great how we got to participate in it and make it even more fun for the kids.
We almost didn't go because it was a little pricey but we are so glad we went ahead and went. This should be Branson's must see show for anyone who is visiting.

We thought this was a beautiful area we enjoyed some boating and fishing while we were there and had lots of fun.
My husband also took in some golfing while the kids and I headed to the Big Surf Water Park. It was a fun and relaxing stay for all of us.

I guess Fantastic Caverns is America's only ride through cave tour, but regardless of that we really enjoyed it.
We didn't even know about it but as we were following Route 66 we saw it and decided to stop.
It was quite interesting as we followed the underground river and saw and heard about the cave.

The whole family enjoyed the Fish and Wildlife Museum, (it was in Springfield Missouri) we were fasciinated with the huge salt water aquarium. We spent a lot of time watching and enjoying the close up look of all the different fish.
We also were quite taken with the beavers and otters, watching their fun antics was really a good time.
