The Bushell Center for the Performing Arts located in Hartford Connecticut always has wonderful events and show. Whatever your taste broadway, opera, dance, or symphony they is always some good entertainment available.
We have very much enjoyed the Bushell Center as well.
But don't forget Hartford has some great museums too such as the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center, the Mark Twain House and Museum, the Connecticut Historical Society Museum, and the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art.

I took my grandkids to the Danbury Railway Museum and we all had a pleasant day. I especially enjoyed sharing my memories with another generation, and it was a bonus that they were interested in it too.
It made the things in my past come to life for them, since they could see what I was talking about.

So pretty - we had a picnic at Kend Falls and enjoyed all the sights and sounds. Take the time and effort to climb the stairway next to the waterfalls - the views are beautiful.

We took a hike at the Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center (in Connecticut) and really enjoyed it. We especially liked the butterfly and hummingbird garden there.

We took a moonlit kayaking excursion the last time we were in Stony Creek Connecticut that went through the Thimble Islands. It was a good time for the whole family and we will do it again sometime.
