Okay you can of course hike to the top of Diamond Head and truly enjoy not only a national landmark but the views of over half of the island of Oahu.
If wakeboarding or parasailing is what you want to do then Hawaii Kai is where I suggest you go.
For spectacular snorkeling then it is Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve for some of the best snorkeling you can find.
Hike up Makupu's sea cliff (not too strenuous of hiking) and look for whales with the telescopes there. If body surfing is what you want to try then makapu'u's shore is definitely the place to do it.
For a picnic on the beach I recommend Waimanal Beach. Wonderful white sand and you can see the Ko'olaa Range while you picnic and beachcomb.
One of Hawaii's best beaches is Lanikai and Kailua Beach. Swimming here is awesome and the white sand can't be beat.
Family hiking is at it's best at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens. A wide variety of scenic wonders for you all to enjoy.
Take the open tram tour at Senator Fong's Plantation and see wonderful scenery and learn about Hawaiian history and culture at the same time.
I very much enjoyed Sea Life Park in Makopuu. Excellent shows and atmosphere. Truly a fun stop.
