You cannot beat Hulopo'e Beach. It is on Manele Bay on the Hawaiian island of Lanai. When I talk about this beach I don't know where to start to convey how awesome it is. Here goes.
The beach is great for body surfing and swimming and you can often see spinner dolphins from the shore. I really enjoy watching them while I am relaxing on the beach.
There are shallow tidal pools that make it really nice for children, and the beach is clean and well kept which is another plus.
If you so desire you can camp right on the beach, it doesn't cost a lot and it is really a great experience if you have never done it. For those that don't live near the ocean you will go to sleep listening to the waves and it truly is a relaxing nights sleep.
I don't golf, but there is excellent golfing at Lanai, I have heard lots of people talk about the Golf Challenge at Manele.
If you enjoy biking and want to try it while you are in Lanai Hawaii I would recommend Keomuku Beach Road and Mahana Trail.
Now for anyone that likes to hike or even kind of likes it, you can't miss Munro Trail. You will see some of the most awesome scenery Lanai and Hawaii has to offer.
One last thing you really need to consider doing when you are vacationing here is to check out the Hawaiian petroglyphs, the Luahiwa Petroglyphs are worth the time.
I hope you enjoy your next vacation in Hawaii, no one could love it more than I do.
